About Us
Founded in 2019, Clearwing Ecological Gardening Limited is a small, woman-owned and operated gardening company based in Apsley, Ontario. We provide reliable and ecologically responsible gardening services to residential and commercial properties throughout Peterborough County.
We offer garden design, installation, and maintenance with the goal of creating softscapes rich in beauty, biodiversity, and functionality. We work with nature—using sustainable practices, native and non-invasive plants, and locally sourced materials—to enhance our clients’ landscapes while supporting healthy habitat. As members of the Ontario Invasive Plant Council, we also offer non-chemical invasive plant management and restorations.
Peterborough County is home to some of Ontario’s most beautiful, rare, and biodiverse ecosystems. Birds, reptiles, amphibians, pollinators, and countless other species depend on this landscape to thrive. Many of our clients find sanctuary here as well, escaping the city to reconnect with nature. We are proud to play a meaningful role in enhancing both their experience and the land itself.
We’re also proud to support and employ Environmental and Horticultural graduates who are passionate about gardening. After over a decade of working in horticulture, developing her own gardens, and studying Ecology, Clearwing’s owner, Victoria, was inspired to share her love for gardening and nature. This passion grew out an understanding of the threats facing local ecosystems and the many species who call them home, and this continues to inspire our work today. Our small, passionate team are like family, and we treat our customers with the same care. Together, we are enhancing local ecosystems, adding value and beauty to our clients’ properties, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Let’s grow together this coming season! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and email us at clearwingeco@gmail.com to get started.
We respectfully acknowledge that we work on Treaty 20 and the Williams Treaty territory, belonging to Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, Mississauga, and Wendake-Nionwentsïo peoples. These ecosystems are and will continue to be cared for by indigenous communities, the original stewards of this land, including Alderville, Beausoleil, Curve Lake, Georgina Island, Hiawatha, Rama and Scugog Island First Nations.
